Quality ways to increase revenue at your martial arts gym…

Let’s face it; it’s never bad to bring in more dough when you are running a business. Martial arts gyms can be hard financially, so we put together some ideas to hopefully inspire you. These ideas should help grow the cash flow of your gym through expanding your business in different ways!

Sell gym merchandise – People love to represent the place they train, and what better way than with T-shirts, gis, boxing gloves, etc. Selling gym specific products is a great way to not only make some side cash but also market your gym!

Host seminars – You don’t have to be Royce Gracie to run a seminar! Chances are you know some great instructors that would love to collaborate and put on a seminar at your gym. Having seminars can be great for promoting your gym and also bringing in some extra revenue.

Teach children’s classes – Parents are always looking for a structured activity that will teach their children self defense— Taekwondo wouldn’t be around if this wasn’t a fact. You must take advantage of this immediately and run children’s classes at your gym; there is a huge market to tap into. Also, by getting children involved sometimes other family members will start training at your gym as well. This is great for creating more cash flow.

Collaborate with other businesses – Working with other businesses can be great and add diversity to your schedule. For instance, if you host yoga classes from a local yoga business it gives even more incentive to train at your gym, while cross promoting each other’s business. The more you offer, the greater your target audience becomes, which will only help generate more money.

Fitness options – There are a lot of people that love the idea of training to fight so they can get in shape, but don’t enjoy the idea of getting armbarred or punched in the face. This is a very dedicated crowd that you should start fitness classes for at your gym. Fitness is a huge industry, and by having a fun niche fitness program that incorporates mixed martial arts and jiu jitsu, you can bring in a lot of people to bulk up your revenue.

We hope these ideas create sparks to help you and your gym, let us know what your doing to expand your gym’s revenue!
