Anthony Pettis; KO of the Night

Anthony Pettis WEC 47

While Ricardo Lamas made an early play for "Knockout of the Night" in the evening's very first contest with an expertly timed knee, Pettis left little doubt that he would be cashing an extra check with his stunning finish.

After fighting from his back early in the contest and fighting through an illegal blow seconds later, Pettis unleashed a left high kick that appeared to leave opponent Danny Castillo out before he hit the ground. Pettis followed up with lightning quick punches, but the damage had been done.
