Combat Corner Professional Chico Camus to Face Chris Holdsworth at UFC173
On Saturday May 24th the UFC will return to the MGM Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada to deliver yet another night packed with exciting fights. UFC 173 will headline with Barao versus Dillashaw for the UFC bantamweight title, and in the co main event Dan Henderson will face Daniel Cormier in a bout that could decide who gets the next title shot against Jon Jones. However, possibly one of the evening’s most exciting fights will be shown on the FOX Sports 1 prelims when Chico “The King” Camus of Red Schafer MMA looks to take on TUF 18 winner and RFA veteran Chris Holdsworth from Team Alpha Male in the bantamweight division.
Fairly new to the UFC but boasting a 6-0 undefeated record as a professional, Chris Holdsworth has shown that he is a legitimate fighter winning season 18 of The Ultimate Fighter and showcased a barrage of skills on his way to doing so proving that he is a well-rounded young fighter. Holdsworth will be taking on the biggest challenge of his career when he steps into the octagon against Chico Camus. Camus holding a 14-4 record as a professional and going 3-1 in the UFC is about as tough as an opponent as anyone could face in the bantamweight division. Camus constantly looks to change things up throughout his fights with no fear to face anyone in any position. While Camus is heavy handed and has knock out power at any time, most of his fights inside the octagon have gone the distance as Camus wears his opponents down with his ability to adapt to any situation and looks to finish from any position. This bout has fight of the night written all over it but don’t be shocked if it ends quickly with a submission or knock out from Camus. Be sure to tune into FOX Sports 1 as this is a fight you will not want to miss.
